It was stated in the circular sent by the Ministry of Interior to the governorships that all citizens within the borders of Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Bursa, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay,İstanbul,İzmir,Kahramanmaraş,Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Malatya, Manisa, Mardin, Mersin, Muğla, Ordu, Sakarya, Samsun, Şanlıurfa, Tekirdağ, Trabzon, Van and Zonguldak which have a metropolitan status were restricted for going out for 4 days between April 22nd 00:00 am and April 26th 00:00 am.
The working hours of the markets and grocery stores were determined as 08.00 -23.00 on Tuesday, April 21st and Wednesday, April 22nd. Markets and grocery stores will be closed on Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, in order to keep the effect of the application on daily life to a minimum and due to the start of Ramadan.
Actions will be taken for those who do not comply with the prohibition
The Ministry asked the governors and district governors to take the necessary decisions in accordance with the relevant legislation immediately to prevent any difficulties in practice and not to cause grievances. In addition, it was stated that administrative fines will be applied the citizens who do not comply with the decisions taken in accordance with the article 282 of the Public Health Law and the necessary judicial proceedings will be initiated within the scope of Article 195 of the Turkish Penal Code regarding the criminal behaviors.
